MAIN THREAD: Happy Halloween! And General Discussion

Image
Well, it's that time of year again, time for the spooky season! I'm not gonna go into the history of Halloween, because I believe I already did that last time. No, I didn't go check because I ain't got time to take 30 seconds to scroll down to the last Halloween thread.  😆 Anywho, Halloween has become pretty commercially routine anymore. Not that you need a lot of variations on the basic theme of costumes and candy, but it seems like every year it's the same old Michael Myers and Nightmare Before Christmas shirts and plushes, basic throw blankets, and cheapo novelty makeup and jewelry.  Even the "variety" of masks have become mostly the same thing year after year.  At least in the big box stores, which is where a lot of people have to shop in our current economy. I blame the tariffs.  😏 At least we still have women in skimpy, slutty costumes acting like psychos and using the season as a reason for it.  That's a decent consolation, right? 🤔 But enou...

OLD THREAD: Wildlife Destinations and General Discussion

Image
We're gonna get a little more grounded here and list some of the best wildlife destinations from around the globe. Every country has some amazing places to experience wildlife and nature in various environments.  It's always enriching to see different types of living creatures in their natural habitats.  Unless they're big and aggressive and chasing you down to maul and/or eat you. But I digress (as our beloved wrestler turned commentator Taz would say). Without further A-dieu, let's list a few. I will be quoting from this site: https://wanderlustphotosblog.com/2019/04/23/the-top-25-wildlife-destinations-in-the-world/   Go check it, and any others out.  It's really well put together and descriptive. If you find a good one, share the link.  The Everglades: "In addition to being one of the most unique ecosystems found in North America, the Everglades is also one of North America’s best wildlife-viewing locations.  Found in the very Southern part of...

OLD THREAD: Women of Wrestling's Asses and General Discussion

Image
Well......   It was requested and I'm delivering.  Women of wrestling's asses. There have been countless nice asses in women's wrestling.  From Wendi Richter (hey, I liked it back in the day. It was the 80s, ya twats) to Sunny to Velvet Sky to Brooke Tessmacher to Trish Stratus to Rhea Ripley to Skye Blue.  Honestly, there are too many to name and too many pictures to post, but I'll post a nice little collage - let the pigeons loose, if you will, in the goofy words of Taz - and then open the cages, take the leashes off, and let all you sex pests talk about asses to your heart's content. Feel free to talk about and share any other non-wrestling related asses you want to as well and, of course, discuss any other topic you see fit.

OLD THREAD: Wrestling Across the Globe and General Discussion

Image
I've talked about the 'Murican style of rasslin' a number of times here in the Garden, but pro wrestling is an intertational form of entertainment with roots all across the globe. Of course the American pro wrestling companies are more of an expansive force in general, but many regions have their own ingrained histories in the industry as well with two of the main ones being Japan and Mexico. Wrestling fans are at least slightly familiar with other area's styles (or at least know they're out there), while some other fans regularly follow their product.   Japanese pro wrestling is known for being "strong style", with a focus on a martial arts style of strikes and kicks and quite a bit of "stiff shots" (more forcefully connecting with one's opponent, for all you non fans) and, more recently a higher focus on Joshi wrestling (aka women's wrestling. You want a more detailed description, ask Bass; I'm not writing a novel here). Mexican wr...

OLD THREAD: Classic Movies and General Discussion

Image
So I figured I'd go into the subject of classic movies. There are timeless, classic movies that are still considered great, influential films which are still watched to this day.  Citizen Kane, Gone With the Wind, Casablanca, It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th St., the Maltese Falcon, Wizard of Oz, Dracula, Frankenstein, the Wolf Man, and many more.  Even cult classics such as A Clockwork Orange, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Dr. Strangelove fit the bill - although they're more recent examples than the others - since they're still considered important moments in cinematic history. Personally, I'm 50/50 on classic movies.  I liked Casablanca, Miracle on 34th Street, a few of the classic monster movies, and Wizard of Oz (obviously).  Quite a few I haven't checked out yet, like the Maltese Falcon. But I also don't care for certain ones. Such as Gone With the Wind, It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, Clockwork Orange, Rocky Horror, and Dr. Strang...
