OLD THREAD: RIP Thread and General Discussion

 With the sudden passings of multiple well known entertainers this month, I decided to do a RIP thread as a tribute of sorts.

In the past week, we have had three notable names pass away, all in two day sequences.  July 20th saw the passing of Malcolm-Jamal Warner (Theo Huxtable from the Cosby Show) in a freak drowning accident.  Two days later on the 22nd, Ozzy Osbourne passes away just 17 days removed from his final concert with Black Sabbath, and then - two days later on July 24th - professional wrestling's most notable legend and pop culture icon Hulk Hogan passes away.

That's not even all of the deaths in the month of July 2025.  You also had: July 1st, infamous televangelist Jimmy Swaggart. July 2nd, Julian McMahon of The Surfer movie, Nip/Tuck tv series, and most notably Dr. Doom in the 2005 Fantastic Four movie. July 3rd, actor Michael Madsen from Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill, and Donnie Brasco, as well as Portuguese soccer forward Diogo Jota. July 4th, Bobby Jenks, American baseball pitcher.  July 17th, singer Connie Francis. July 18th, actor Kenneth Washington, who played Sgt. Baker in Hogan's Heroes. July 22nd, jazz artist Chuck Mangione. July 23rd, George Kooymans, Dutch rock singer-songwriter, and guitarist for Golden Earring.  Among others.

For obvious reasons, Hulk Hogan and Ozzy were the two main shockers and biggest names of the month, with the rock and wrestling (pun intended) worlds reeling with the news.  But it's also crazy to think that there were so many notable actors as well, with Jamal-Warner, Madsen, and McMahon being pretty well known in their own rights. And that's not counting Gene Hackman from the month before. 

So this thread is going out to everybody, known and unknown, who have passed not only in July, but so far in the year of 2025.  Share your thoughts and memories of the famous, infamous, anyone not famous but known to you, and also point out any other notable names others might not have heard about (like Sly Stone from Sly & the Family Stone fame on June 9th).  And, as always, chat about any other topic that comes up.
