MAIN THREAD: Wrestling Across the Globe and General Discussion

I've talked about the 'Murican style of rasslin' a number of times here in the Garden, but pro wrestling is an intertational form of entertainment with roots all across the globe. Of course the American pro wrestling companies are more of an expansive force in general, but many regions have their own ingrained histories in the industry as well with two of the main ones being Japan and Mexico. Wrestling fans are at least slightly familiar with other area's styles (or at least know they're out there), while some other fans regularly follow their product. Japanese pro wrestling is known for being "strong style", with a focus on a martial arts style of strikes and kicks and quite a bit of "stiff shots" (more forcefully connecting with one's opponent, for all you non fans) and, more recently a higher focus on Joshi wrestling (aka women's wrestling.
