MAIN THREAD: Current Political Climate and General Discussion
So I figured this week we could look at the current political landscape, because there are a lot of historic events going on, regardless of your political leanings.
A guy who was practically politically assassinated (and who had people literally attempt to assassinate him) was unanimously voted in for a second term, winning both the electoral and popular vote against an administration and party that could only be described as a dumpster fire.
Since he took office, he's gotten tough on illegal immigration, appointed a task force to look into wasteful government spending, has tried to stop biological men from competing in women's sports, and a number of other things. And this is a mere two months into his term.
No matter how you feel about the guy or what he's doing, this is going to be looked at as a historic term - whether positively or negatively.
The Democrats/liberals are in attack and panic mode, and the extremists are literally sterilizing themselves, posting meltdown videos on YouTube, disrupting a presidential address, and generally losing their shit. I can't say I don't enjoy that part of it, considering how hypocritical, hateful, and vile the party has become over the past decade plus.
What are your thoughts about the current political climate? Do you agree with the decisions being made? Disagree? Why or why not?
Discuss this, and any other topic you like, in this here thread.
