I've talked about the 'Murican style of rasslin' a number of times here in the Garden, but pro wrestling is an intertational form of entertainment with roots all across the globe. Of course the American pro wrestling companies are more of an expansive force in general, but many regions have their own ingrained histories in the industry as well with two of the main ones being Japan and Mexico. Wrestling fans are at least slightly familiar with other area's styles (or at least know they're out there), while some other fans regularly follow their product.   Japanese pro wrestling is known for being "strong style", with a focus on a martial arts style of strikes and kicks and quite a bit of "stiff shots" (more forcefully connecting with one's opponent, for all you non fans) and, more recently a higher focus on Joshi wrestling (aka women's wrestling.  So I figured I'd go into the subject of classic movies. There are timeless, classic movies that are still considered great, influential films which are still watched to this day.  Citizen Kane, Gone With the Wind, Casablanca, It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th St., the Maltese Falcon, Wizard of Oz, Dracula, Frankenstein, the Wolf Man, and many more.  Even cult classics such as A Clockwork Orange, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Dr. Strangelove fit the bill - although they're more recent examples than the others - since they're still considered important moments in cinematic history. Personally, I'm 50/50 on classic movies.  I liked Casablanca, Miracle on 34th Street, a few of the classic monster movies, and Wizard of Oz (obviously).  Quite a few I haven't checked out yet, like the Maltese Falcon.  So I decided to go into a little bit of a more serious direction with this week's thread.  The topic of aspirations/dreams/hopes. Basically, what did you aspire to in life?  What kind of path did you want to take?  What did you want to achieve?  Have you?  Are you still taking steps towards that goal?  Did it change, and what did it change to?   Personally, I've always wanted to be an actor.  I got a very small taste of it a few years back, but I still hope to get back into it on some level soon.  I should have a decent chance here in the next couple of years, God willing.  It's not just limited to that, though. It's also about things you might have wanted to save up for, or whatever.  Like a dream car, a boat, a type of home, location, etc.  So it's not just about the deep shit, but about more light hearted things as well.  For example, I'm still determined to own a 56 Bel Air at some point before I'm too old t...

 So we're gonna talk about the women of wrestling this time around. Sexiest, favorites - whether just in general or in the ring, most annoying, overrated, most notable, diamonds in the rough, little known women of wrestling you might know about, anything goes here. Even old rasslin' magazine apartment wrestling women.  For example, I loved Wendi Richter as a lad.  Both in looks and as an on air personality. Loved the Jumping Bomb Angels.  I was super into Sable - not so much the fake hooters (even though I didn't hate em) but her face and body in general.  I liked Molly Holly as an all around talent. I liked Marlena's super hard nips.  Currently like Statlander, Athena, Aminata, Harley Cameron, Thunder Rosa (rawr), and most others not named Mone or Charlotte or Bianca or Bella or Jax or Punk (he acts like a bitch so I'll just throw him in here, too. 😆).  I actually liked writing the jobber thread, so I'm gonna continue with the general theme and do favorite tag teams (and yes, I know Pi$$y will have some kind of perverted answer.... Sigh). The Golden Era of wrestling is often considered the best tag team period in the history of the business.  You had so many teams, so many legendary teams, who also had members who went on to singles greatness.  Even the thrown together teams were pretty big deals.  Teams like the Hart Foundation, the Rockers, Demolition, the British Bulldogs, the Road Warriors/Legion of Doom was still going strong, the Killer Bees, Strike Force, the Can-Am Connection, the Dream Team, the Wild Samoans, the Powers of Pain, Bundy and Studd, the Twin Towers, Natural Disasters, Rhythm and Blues, Power and Glory, Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff, the Nasty Boys, the Moondogs Rex and Spot......   So many teams were in the spotlight.  Hell, one of the most popular were a women's Japanese impor...
