MAIN THREAD: Happy Valentine's Day. And General Discussion

 Love is in the air and it's about that time for.....  Valentine's Day!

I've always thought Valentine's Day was a nice holiday.  It celebrates love and the connection of two people who care for each other.  Sure, sometimes things don't always last past this magical day of the year, but hopefully the happy couples would have made a positive memory that they could look fondly back on. 

Even when single I've always enjoyed this day of the year. It warmed my heart seeing two people walking around sharing love and affection for one another and showing that it's not always a lost emotion.  It would always make me smile.

But there are also people who struggle during this, and other, times of the year, so here's to the lonely souls as well, and hoping they find something that can fill their hearts with joy. 

Enough of my sappy, heartstring pulling sentiments, though.  It's time for discussing love, flowers, chocolates, memories (and even regrets or lessons learned) in love, and maybe some sentimental songs that struck a chord (pun intended) with you, and any other wild topic you want.

 Well, here we are at another Thanksgiving season at the Garden! I'm sure you know the drill by now. I ramble on about turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, etc etc and also giving thanks for what you have in your life and then tell you to chat about Thanksgiving and anything else you want. Maybe I throw in a bit about Thanksgiving not being such a positive for Native American peoples in the grand scheme of things, but it's evolved past cliche, contradicted images of happy pilgrims and natives sitting around tables full of food into a general sense of giving thanks for family, friends, and life in general.  Hell, I could throw in a few rasslin' related lines about the Gobbledygooker's debut at Survivor Series 1990 just for a few nostalgic laughs. OLD THREAD: IT'S A NEW YEAR, YES IT IS! and General Discussion

  Now that I have that out of my system, HAPPY NEW YEAR, ALL OF THE AMAZING PEEPS HERE AT PITG! So we're heading into 2026.  I'm sure some people are hopeful for a brand new year and brand new adventures, memories, successes, and so on and so forth.  Not to mention, the Japanese wrestling circuit is looking forward to Dream Queendom and Wrestle Kingdom events that are kicking off during this time.  You're welcome, Bass.  😆 But I'm also sure there are probably others who are worrying about what the new year holds.  Whether it be civil war, continued invasions, World War III, more tariffs, states sliding into the oceans, or the sky literally falling on our heads. Whatever the case may be, this is the time for celebrating another year on this crazy ass orb (yes, orb, not flat earth) and hoping it turns out better than the last. OLD THREAD: MLK And General Discussion

 Since we're heading into Martin Luther King Day, I figured I would make the new thread about good ole Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I've always subscribed to MLK's credo of unity and brotherhood amongst the races.  I'm all about that - about people treating people as people and judging them on their character, not the color of their skin. The belief that people, black and white (and all races), can sit at the table of brotherhood and sisterhood. Which is what King believed in. I'm also against racism in any form. Yes, that includes racism against Caucasians and, no, I don't need to hear the bs "minorities can't be racist" line because, globally, white people are the minority.
